"Magnificent
Moreton Island " Touring Glider Flight
On Climb to 3500 feet we will
cruise past the Pumicestone Passage and Bribie Island across
Moreton Bay, glide into Tangalooma Wrecks and Resort on Moreton
Island. Take in the best views of Tangalooma Wrecks and the
Wild Dolphin Resort. We will cross to the Pacific Ocean side,
track north up the beach to Cape Moreton. In whale season you
are almost guaranteed to see whales. We will then climb to 4500
feet and glide across the breathtaking Spitfire Channel to Caloundra.
It is then we cruise out to the Glasshouse Mountains where we
will go past Mt Beerwah and Tibrogargan on climb to 4500 feet
for a relaxing glide back to Caboolture airfield.
See Whales - we regularly see whales off Cape Moreton. A fantastic spectacle seeing these amazing creatures from the air as they breach and play. Season June - Oct |
